Is LinksGone free?
Yes. Finding where your face or likeness is used and taking it down is free, filed in your own name. Ongoing monitoring, which re-checks and alerts you, is free too. There is no paid tier.
Does it actually work?
Yes. Real content has already come down through us: recent confirmed removals include reposted photos on Instagram and cloned-voice soundboards on 101Soundboards. Removal is never guaranteed and timing varies by platform, but we prepare the right notice for each site.
How do you take down a deepfake or leaked photos?
We identify how removal works on the specific platform and prepare the correct notice for you to send in your own name: a DMCA, impersonation, or non-consensual-imagery notice, whichever fits your case.
How long does a takedown take?
It varies by platform and we can't promise a time. Once you send the notice, some platforms act fast and others are slow.
Do I have to upload the actual photo?
No. To take something down we only need the link, never the image itself. Your original photo never leaves your device.
Will my real name be made public?
For deepfake and impersonation cases we use privacy forms that don't expose who reported, and the abuser never sees your name. One route, a copyright notice, legally requires your real contact details, and we always warn you before any step like that.
How do I get a deepfake taken down for free?
Give us the link to where the deepfake is posted. That is all we need, and you never have to upload or look at the content again. We work out which law and which platform channel applies and prepare the correct removal notice, pre-filled and ready. You approve it and send it in your own name (you stay the filer of record). There's no charge for the notice, no card, and no cap on the number of links.
Do you file the takedown for me?
By default, no. You do, and that's deliberate: you are the filer of record on the notice, which is what gives it legal weight and keeps it in your name. Our job is to prepare the right notice for the right platform so all you do is approve and send it.
Can you remove a cloned voice?
Yes. A cloned or synthetic voice used to impersonate you or scam people is impersonation and, on many platforms, a policy or right-of-publicity violation. We prepare the correct notice for the platform hosting it, and you send it in your own name. We help with both face and voice: deepfakes, impersonation, non-consensual images, and voice clones.
Is LinksGone AI-powered?
No. We are a free, DIY takedown tool built on legal templates, automation, a reverse-image search, and a scripted guide, not an AI service that acts on your behalf. Words like 'deepfake' or 'AI-generated' describe the problem you're facing, never our technology. The only machine learning anywhere is an on-device face-match check inside the optional scan, and even then your original photo never leaves your device.

What is the TAKE IT DOWN Act and does it help me?
The TAKE IT DOWN Act is a US federal law signed in May 2025 that requires covered platforms to remove non-consensual intimate imagery, including AI-generated and deepfake images, within 48 hours of a valid request from the depicted person or their authorized representative. When your case is non-consensual intimate imagery, the notice we prepare invokes this law and its 48-hour deadline. For impersonation or likeness misuse we use the law that fits instead, such as right of publicity. You don't have to know which one applies, that's our job.
Which platforms can you help me remove content from?
Any platform where your likeness is posted. We prepare notices routed to the correct channel for major sites like Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, Snapchat, OnlyFans, Discord, and Telegram, and for smaller sites we prepare a notice to the right contact for that host. You paste the link, and working out the right channel and the right law for each site is our job. Removal is never guaranteed and timing varies by platform.
